How Spectrophotometer Works

A single beam spectrophotometer utilizes one beam of light that passes through the sample and the intensity of the light reflected from a reference is measured without the sample. The instrument is standardized by placing a reference in the sample holder, and the resulting value is subtracted from subsequent sample measurements to remove effects from the solvent and the cell. All resulting light waves are evaluated based on the wavelength of light selected by the monochromator.

How To Use This Device

1. First connect the power socket to the behind of the device and switch ON the power button beside the socket.
2. Adjust the manual knob wavelength before test the sample.
3. Put the test sample in the compartment and pull the sample lever to adjust the sample.
4. Next, select the mode and function of testing as per test sample requirement.
5. The data will display on the LCD screen.
